Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky #1)

This is the story of Aria and Perry. The planet earth has been severely damaged by electrical storms.
Aria has grown up in Reverie, a Pod that keeps thousands from the horrors of the outside world and the Savages that dwell within it. Perry is an Outsider, the brother of a blood lord(tribe leader) his tribe The Tides struggle to survive with the worsening storms and the lack of food. Those who live on the outside also posses special skills. Some having super human smell, sight, or sound.
Events take place that land Aria stranded in the desert, left to die after a corrupt official learns information she carries could shed light on his sons insanity.
At the same time Perry's nephew is taken by the "Dwellers" and he has vowed to get him back.

Once they find each other the story's pace quickens! Lets just say there are Cannibals and killing galore!

This was definitely not one of those books with love at first sight LOL! Perry HATES Aria for a very large part of this book. But as they travel through the desert they learn to help each other and become close. They find friends and we get to see Perry in a different light. *Sigh* Though I was not happy with the way some things were left hanging in the breeze, I assume the next 2 books will give me much more insight.

ALL IN ALL, I LOVED THIS BOOK. I LOVED PERRY. I loved that Aria was strong even though she was a Dweller. If Rossi would have made her weak this book would have been very different for me. I cannot wait for the next book

The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden, #1)

This is Allison's Story. She lives in a world ruled by vampires, and the humans are basically walking food supply. She has chosen to be an unregistered outsider living on the fringes staying on the brink of starvation with her "gang", she collects book and other small tokens of the world before. Unlike the others Alli can read, though books and literacy have been banned. The book takes a turn when Allie goes outside the "secure area" in search for food - b/c the supplies have dwindled to nothing!
WELL- the vamps are not the only thing she has to fear! Rabids (Monsters created by a plague) are blood-hungry beasts who's bite causes the bitten to become what they fear!

Without giving too much away she is attacked & She is given the choice by Kanin (who I personally loved even with his supposed cold nature) to become a vamp or die.
She chooses to live, and the story circles around Allie trying to accept the life she has chosen. Understanding she can never go back to the life she once had and trying to decide how to continue on without becoming the monster that the humans believe all vamps to be.

I REALLY enjoyed this book. The only things that could have been better is if it would have circulated around Kanin.
*Swoon.. Also, I didn't love Z as much as Kagawa wanted me too.. Maybe the next book he will hold my heart... WE SHALL SEE!
