Wrath New Species By Laurann Dohner

Wrath (New Species, #6)

Wrath (New Species #6)

Wrath volunteers to live and work outside Homeland, where he'll once again be confined in a small space with other males. He was subjected to horrific abuse and conditioning and forced to view endless sex tapes of human females while chained to Mercile's perverted machines. Wrath knows he's too dangerous and emotionally damaged to ever be with a female.

Lauren has just been detained by three big, buff, well-armed men-New Species. One of them really catches her eye. He's tall, sexy and . . . her new roommate, apparently. Having never met a man this spectacular, she decides to taste every inch of his amazing body. Wrath is definitely open to that plan. The sex is incredible and he gives her everything she needs-but he'll only go so far. Something is holding him back.

Lauren has to make him unleash his desire and Wrath has to get past his fear if the couple wants any chance at a future together.

I loved getting to know "919" Wrath, after we met him under such awful circumstances in Brawn. :) He takes a job with the task force that saves New Species outside of homeland because he hasn't been free for long, and living in such close quarters wouldn't be so hard on him.

When Lauren Henderson, a real estate agent, comes face to face with some New Species males in a case of mistaken identity she knows she is in big trouble.

Wrath. who was tortured with videos of human women finds himself tempted by the blonde bombshell. He doesn't want to hurt but fears his conditioning will cause problems.. This leads to LOTS of steamy showers.

Lets just talk about Amanda for a minute!!! ERMIGOSH. She and Flame MUST get together!!!

I was hesitant to read Kismet, the last ( Oh, lets say dozen?) Sheik books I have read, left MUCH to be desired. But I am happy to say I enjoyed this book. I loved the sexual tension between the H & h. PLUS, the h is a courtesan and made her own rules... YES PLEASE. The passion in this book just jumped off the page, and without giving to much away... What he does to "get her back" (You ladies know what I'm talking about, swoon. SHE IS SOOO STRONG and I LOVE that about this book

Secret Pleasure (Bound Hearts #13) by Lora Leigh

Secret Pleasure (Bound Hearts #13)

Once a member of the Sinclair men’s club as their honorary female member, Alyssa Hampstead broke one of the most important rules of the club and gracefully accepted Ian Sinclair’s request to leave.

For a reason.

Now, caught between two men she’s terrified of, and a father determined to destroy her, she turns to the only safety she’s ever known, that of the men’s club she forced herself to walk away from.

Only to learn that the very men she’s running from are awaiting for her there. And the man determined to destroy her, has just been waiting for her to return

_______________________________________________________________________
From the minute they saw her they knew they had to have her.

I really enjoyed how Alyssa had Shane and Sebastian wrapped around her oh-so-innocent little finger. Though they knew she was unexperienced the let her know their plans and rolled with it.
She ended up being a firecracker and held her own. I REALLY enjoyed their time in Spain and then BAM... I KNEW something was coming but DANNNNG it I wanted to punch them in the head! I get their reasoning but COME ON GUYS making her feel like that!!
I didn't see the whammy of the guilty party coming! Enjoyed the happy ending too!

Hot Alphas   by Lora Leigh, Laurelin McGee, Shiloh Walker , Kate Douglas

In Erin’s Kiss by Lora Leigh, ex-Marine Turk has become Erin’s sworn protector. The consistent target of her CIA-operative brother’s deadly foes, Turk is the only port Erin has to cling to in a storm. He promised her brother long ago never to touch her—but how can he resist a woman who aches to be with him as much as he burns for her?

In misTaken by Laurelin McGee, Jaylene Kim is a strong independent woman whose feminist values run deep. Even though attractive men are her weakness the last thing she wants is one telling her what to do. Until she meets her mysterious new neighbor. He makes her realize that you can still be strong and relinquish control . . . in the bedroom. But as their passion consumes them both Jaylene isn't so sure he is who he says he is.

In Burn for Me by Shiloh Walker, Tate longs to spend his nights with Ali, a woman he’s loved for years. But while Ali’s heart pines to be with Tate, her head has reservations. Ali knows that Tate has never forgiven his father for the fight he had with his mother right before she left the house—and was never heard from again. Tate's unresolved anger is a force to be reckoned with . . . but the heat that blazes between them is undeniable. Now both Tate and Ali are left to wonder: Can love really conquer all?

In Tangled by Kate Douglas, Nate shows up to work at Tangled Vineyards ready to do all the things he loves best—work with his hands, grow the grapes, and craft award-winning, full-bodied wines. But when something better comes along in the form of Cassie, the winemaker and former owner of the vineyard, Nate becomes completely love-drunk. Getting involved with Tangled’s number-one mixologist is a bad way to start off a new job, but with Cassie as a constant temptation, Nate doesn’t stand a chance…

I was pretty disappointed with this anthology. I have done a quick review of each book, but overall 3 stars is being pretty generous.

Erin’s Kiss by Lora Leigh
I am so Disappointed with Lora Leigh lately ... Every single character of late seems to be the SAME PERSON.... IF I have to read about one more pulsing member or FROTHY CREAM I am going to hurt someone.

Mistaken by Laurelin McGee
I didn't really enjoy Jay at all, it was hard to enjoy a character that puts down the reader. I guessed Noah's secret early on and was glad it didn't really seem to phase Jay.

Burn for Me by Shiloh Walker
I liked that Ali called Tate on his BS. There was passion and chemistry and a bit of mystery thrown in. It's a steamy read.

Tangled by Kate Douglas
I found this one predictable but enjoyable. I liked that they just went with the connection.

Lost in Her (K2 Team, #4) by Sandra Owens

Lost in Her by Sandra Owens

by

It’s been a year since Ryan O’Connor buried his wife. He was in Afghanistan as a SEAL medic when the call came that she’d been killed during a robbery. In that time, he returned home, nursed his grief, and joined his former brothers-in-arms in the K2 Special Services.

After a bad breakup with her ex, Charlene “Charlie” Morgan finds happiness only when flying the friendly skies—as an aerobatic stunt pilot. But the skies aren’t so friendly when her plane troubles turn out to be the work of sabotage.

Looking to forget their worries, Charlie and Ryan run into each other at a bar. The chemistry is instant and intense. It’s only supposed to be a one-night stand. But the memory of their passionate kiss lingers, and when Ryan shows up at Charlie’s flight school, their romance takes off. Yet the route to love has its own turbulence—secrets, lies, and danger. Can one night lead to something lasting?

What a disappointment. I had such high hopes when I got this bad boy, so believe me when I say I knew there was a BIG problem about 2 chapters in. It was agony to get through this one, which leads me to believe I MUST have read a different book that the other reviewers did.

I'm sorry but what grown alpha-male has a bunny rabbit... NOT only does he have a rabbit, he named him BUNNY.. not Butch, or Ratchet, or Mace, or any other manly names to help compensate for the pellet dropping fluffball lack of manliness.

Let me just lay out one of the many scenes in this book that had me looking a bit like this...
<img src="http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lq2kl9x6hO1qht847.gif">
and then this:
<img class="mainImage" src="http://i.imgur.com/nzcfZ.gif" data-bm="12">

So, Ryan and Charlene go on this date etc. between his bouts of testosterone ridden rages he talks about his dead wife that died, BUUUT she was pregnant with another mans baby. HATE RAGE BETRAYAL ... Buuuuut, when the dates over (like immediately - he hasn't even flossed dinner yet) he blubbers -like a teenage girl watching Titanic- and talks about how beautiful she was and caresses her picture lovingly (insert violin music and a single tear drop)

So, If It is unclear as to my thought on this read, I will just say, it was NOT for me

The Sweetest Chase (Heart of the Storm #2) by Sharla Lovelace

The Sweetest Chase (Heart of the Storm #2)

Photographer Quinn Parker is getting married in a month, and she’s almost happy about it. Even though her mother is planning the whole wedding. Even though she’s secretly had the hots for Simon Chase forever. But he’s her best friend’s brother and her coworker…off-limits even if she were single. So she’s marrying the man who should be her perfect match—and that’s that.

Simon Chase’s life revolves around his family’s storm-chasing business. The meteorologist of the bunch, he’d rather be out in the weather than reporting it—especially if Quinn Parker is along to photograph the run. He’s been hiding his crush on her for a long time, and it’s only intensified. But she’s marrying someone else—and that’s that.

Or is it? When a Chase family wedding sets the stage for body temperatures to rise and the pressure of Quinn’s impending wedding to build, a new reality breaks. Quinn and Simon discover their unrequited affections have been mutual all along. When the gathering storm of their attraction finally reaches its peak, will it leave their lives in shambles? Or will they find shelter in each other?

_________________________________________________________________________

Sadly I did not feel any emotions toward Quinn throughout a large portion of this book, underdeveloped is a good word... I found the storm scenes very descriptive and they really pulled you in, unfortunately that was not enough to keep the storyline from dragging quite a bit. Simon was great, maybe with a bit more development I could have enjoyed their interaction, but it just fell short for me .

Royal Chase by Sariah Wilson

Royal Chase  by Sariah Wilson

Booking her client, Prince Dante of Monterra, on reality show Marry Me is a royal coup for PR agent Lemon Beauchamp. But thanks to a last-minute glitch, Lemon must pretend to be one of the contestants vying to win the playboy prince’s love and then live happily ever after—at least until the publicity tour ends.

Prince Dante agreed to go on the show to find a wife, even though he already has the perfect candidate in mind. She’s smart, funny, sexy, and completely uninterested in wealth and fame. She’s also absolutely determined to keep him at arm’s length.

Even if Lemon weren’t already engaged, she can’t trust a notorious flirt like Dante. So she ignores the lingering looks. Those subtle, thrilling touches. That pulse-quickening kiss. Until suddenly, Lemon isn’t playing for the cameras. She’s lovestruck for real, and just maybe, the man behind the title is the one who’s always been in her heart

_________________________________________________________

If you add a financially sound Cinderlla tale with the Bachelor you get this book.
Overall I enjoyed this read, I was somewhat underimpressed with all of the "Lemon" reference after about halfway through the book though. "My name is Lemon, I love lemon soap, and lemon perfume, and lemon flowers.... um no, not quite realistic... but I don't really have the right to harp on something that small when the entire storyline requires a bit of reality suspending LOL.
So,
Lemon has recently graduated with her Master's degree and started a PR firm ... her only clients are the Monserra Royal Family (Her BFF is marrying the Crowned Prince.. I HAVE GOT TO START MAKING FRIENDS WITH this GROUP OF PEOPLE. Throughout the book we get glimses of Lemon and Prince Dante's interactions.

So THIS book is about Prince Dante's appearance on a Bachelor-like show, and of course NO ONE recognizes him as a prince... SAVE ONE which causes Lemon to have to fill in. WHOOPS!!.

From here, we have zany adventure after zany adventure. You've got backstabbing actresses with fake accents, women that think the moon is REALLY made of cheese, and all the while Lemon is trying to remind herself that Dante isn't REALLY wanting her even though he is CONTINUALLY confessing his feeling and telling her she makes him a better man...

So, I would say it was enjoyable if not predictable read that could have been about 100 pages shorter if you cut out all of Lemons Woe's me nonsense. BOO. But I did enjoy it overall.

Vampires Never Cry Wolf (Dead in the City #3)

by Sadie Pemberton is the DJ at the hottest vampire club in New York City, and she loves her freedom almost as much as she hates werewolves. She has no desire to tie herself to anyone for eternity—even the deliciously sexy Killian Bane—werewolf prince and heir apparent who has been sent to patrol the city.

But Sadie bears the mark of the moon—the mark that Killian has been looking for, the mark that's meant to reveal his perfect mate. How can the fates be so cruel? Even more importantly, how is he ever going to change her mind?__________________________________________________________

Really enjoyed this one ! Great steamy read and man o' man Killian was Delicious.

Everyone KNOWS New York is vampire territory, but apparently  werewolf prince, Killian  doesn’t really care! He has plans to open his own hot club, a club that will rival sexy Vamp Sara Humphreys.  When scoping out the competition Killian gets more than he bargains for in Sadie,  and to say ogling ensued would be an understatement. He may have just found his mate... and she is NOT were-kind. I really enjoyed this book, I have not read he first 2 in the series and it did not affect my enjoyment BUT I will be popping out to purchase them promptly!

Wicked Lies (Men of Summer, #2) by Lora Leigh

Wicked Lies (Men of Summer, #2)
by

Annie goes back to the town that "Betrayed her"  surround by her family in her amazing disguise of contacts and hair dye... Personally, if i had killers on my trail i might consider a TAD more cover.
Other that that small issue I found this read to be a traditional Lora Leigh panty melter. Super steamy erotic love scenes between the reluctant couple, and just enough secrets and intrigue to keep you on your toes.
