Crave (Fallen Angels #2)
by J.R. Ward
Seven deadly sins. Seven souls that must be saved. One more no-holds- barred battle between a fallen angel with a hardened heart and a demon with everything to lose.
Isaac Rothe is a black ops soldier with a dark past and a grim future. The target of an assassin, he finds himself behind bars, his fate in the hands of his gorgeous public defender Grier Childe. His hot attraction to her can only lead to trouble-and that's before Jim Heron tells him his soul is in danger. Caught up in a wicked game with the demon who shadows Jim, Isaac must decide whether the soldier in him can believe that true love is the ultimate weapon against evil.

We met Jim in the first book of the Fallen Angels series, Covet. A gruff former XOps soldier who after dying, a couple of times (*snickering) was appointed as the "Quarterback" in the ultimate "game" of good versus evil. Round two is kicked off in Crave. I have to say, I cannot help but chuckle every time Lavina counts her lipstick or makes an impulse buy. LOL. Jim must help 7 souls choose the path of good or evil.
The H/h in this book are another XOps soldier Isaac (a blast from jims past that Mathias is after) and his lawer Grier .
I really liked Isaac as a character and the tension between him and Grier was steamy to say the least. Even though the love story progressed nicely I was always wondering "Where is Matthias, what will he do next!"
I absoutely loved being in the Devina and Matthias heads I love POV changes and think it gives SO much more to a one dimensional story.
Adrian, oh Adrian how I love you. And Eddie. OH Eddie.
The story has a twist towards the ending that I was not expecting.
Great read.
