Hunter doesn't want to mate with Rasha, but agrees in the previous book to prevent war.
On their way to Moonbound. Aylin, Rasha and their entourage are attacked by humans. Moonbound saves the women. Hunter thinks Aylin is Rasha and thinks maybe their mating wont be so bad. Things get steamy, and then he calls her RASHA. She is horrified, having not realized it was Hunter, her sisters to-be mate. Hunter is smitten with her, an she is confused b/c of her disability she have never been looked at as a sexual being or an equal. Moonbound does not view disabled vamps as outcasts and views Aylin as an equal.
Hunter must go on the "quest" all 2nd generation born vamps must go on, b/c earlier generation promised the demon, Samnult, their first borns unless the quest is won. In order to be able to keep his first born child he must complete the quest with this betrothed. This is extremely important to him because he has lost 3 children during childbirth already. Rasha refuses to join him. but Aylin volunteers to go in her place. The demon realm was very intriguing, and the challenges were great in strengthening the bond that was already forming between the two of them.
This story was action packed and I really enjoyed it. We got to see more of the characters we met in book 1. I enjoy Ms. Iones writing style and cannot wait to read the next in this series.
